2006 Schuco Karting Challenge

Date: Thursday, 21st September
Venue: Whilton Mill, Nr Daventry, Northants

The Schuco Karting Challenge was a slightly different format in 2006.  It was again held at Whilton Mill and used the fabulous Club 100 TKM racing karts.  However, this year it was an invitational event and consisted of both an individual and team competition.

Unlike previous years the weather brought us glorious sunshine, although it was also rather windy, and the drivers experienced a hard but enjoyable day.  The individual event was won by Jonathan Lisseter, adding to his win in 2003 and second place in 2005!  Runner up was Richard Henson and third was Keith Douglas. 

The team event was won by a combined team from Watkins Grey and Structura consisting of Dave Beal, Attzaz Rashid and Jonathan Lisseter.  After an hour of racing they finished just 4 seconds ahead of the Schuco All-Stars!
